October 15, 2026
On Saturday, October 10, the Middleton Chamber's Fall Craft Bazaar fills Middleton Middle School at 511 W. Main St. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It has local makers, food trucks and a mix of returning and new vendors, and it is open to everyone with no registration. For a town of Middleton's size it is a good day. It is also close to the only big fall event happening inside town limits this month.
The rest of October is still full. It is just a short drive away, along Chicken Dinner Road, Apricot Lane and the downtown blocks of Caldwell. Look at the calendars of the farms, wineries and haunted houses there and you have most of a Middleton family's late-October weekends.
The City of Middleton's October 2026 calendar is short. It listed a ribbon cutting at the Sawtooth Roundabout on October 7 at 11 a.m. and has a Middleton Community Meetup and Open House on October 27. The Chamber's calendar added a Coffee and Donuts morning on October 7, plus the bazaar.
The town's main recurring gathering is already done for the year. The city runs the Middleton Market at Middleton Place Park on the third Saturday of June, July and August, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Once August ends, the in-town calendar thins out until the holidays. The pumpkins, corn and cider are a few miles away.
You can sum up most of the Caldwell side of this calendar with a few addresses. Lovely Hollow Farm is at 18252 Chicken Dinner Road. Huston Vineyards is on the same road at 16755 Chicken Dinner Road. Cherry Hill Farms is at 19125 Apricot Lane.
The three places run on different schedules, and it helps to know that before you go.
Lovely Hollow Farm holds Pumpkin Days + Marketplace on Saturday, October 10, and Pumpkin Days again on Sunday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The farm's FAQ says regular open days have no separate entrance fee but that some special events may charge one. Its calendar does not list pumpkin prices. The Sunday date matters here, because Cherry Hill does not list Sunday hours.
Huston Vineyards has a Harvest Party with grape stomping on October 10, the same day as the bazaar and Lovely Hollow's first Pumpkin Day. Its calendar does not list hours or ticket prices for that party. The more defined date is Saturday, October 17. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Huston releases a new 2024 Brave & Bold Red alongside a Little Brown Stein Watch Party, with $15 general admission.
Cherry Hill Farms runs the longest season of the three, so it gets its own section.
The farm says 2026 is the fifth year of its Fall Festival. The festival and corn maze run September 25 through October 31. Hours are Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday, October 31, it closes at 3 p.m.
That split weekday schedule is the useful detail. The 5 to 8 p.m. window means a family can go after school or work on a Wednesday instead of joining the Saturday crowd.
Here is what admission gets you:
Admission is $10.40 per person including fees, or $41.60 including fees for a family of up to six. Children 2 and under get in free. For a family of five or six, the family ticket costs less than individual tickets.
Cherry Hill calls Apple Days, October 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., its biggest event of the year. Tickets include the event activities plus Fall Festival and corn maze admission. The new part this year is that the farm will press its own fresh cider at Apple Days. In the festival's fifth year, that is the one real change to the fall routine around here.
The month gets busier in the second half. Here is the calendar from this weekend on:
October 23 is the busiest date on the list. You could spend the afternoon at Apple Days and the evening at the winery, without either one crowding the other.
The haunted houses follow the same pattern. Requiem Haunted House is at 810 Main St. in downtown Caldwell, the same downtown that has been adding a range of dinner options. According to the Idaho Press, Requiem opened October 2 with a haunted-asylum theme. It runs 7:30 to 10 p.m. on weeknights and 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on weekends. General admission is $25, or $50 to skip the line.
The Haunted World is the bigger commitment. Its 2026 season runs September 11 through November 1, open 7:30 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. The Idaho Press describes more than 40 acres and attractions including La Llorona, Alien Encounters, Curse at the Cathedral and Cannibal's Smokehouse. Its ticket page lists standard, fast-pass and VIP tickets, and all three include both The Haunted World and Skullvania.
The riverbank is the part of October you can find in Middleton itself. The city's parks and pathways page lists Centennial Grove at 575 S. Middleton Road, with a walking path down to the Boise River. Roadside Park at 421 E. Main St. has a walking path and river views. Neither one has an event schedule. They are just good places for a walk once the corn mazes close.
The in-town calendar may not stay this thin. That same city page lists future amenities planned for Piccadilly Park at 520 W. Main St., including a farmers market, an amphitheater, a splash pad and a walking path, to be added "over the next five years." For now, the skate park is the only part of Piccadilly that's open. A few blocks east, BoiseDev reported in July that Oak and Ivy Coffee House plans to open at 208 W. Main St. in a historic Victorian home. Plans include a patio, a DIY hot chocolate bar and evening events like book clubs. At the time, the owner was still working to secure the building, and the stated goal was to open "by February." Neither project has a firm date yet. For this October, a full fall weekend near Middleton still means a drive to Apricot Lane or Chicken Dinner Road.
Fall weekends like these are part of what makes Middleton feel like home, along with knowing which parts of town are still taking shape.
